The Theory of the Fool
The Fool represents pure Chaos and the ability to create nearly endless things from it should one decide to harness it. The infinite future and the lack of fear that comes from being willing to embrace it is what makes one seem, to others, foolish. In many cards we see that there is an animal of some sorts depicted. This is symbolic of the natural mind, the animalistic side in all of us that connects us to nature. There is a certain Harmony of the two required to take that first step forward into the darkness of the forest and risk coming out a different person all together.
In the image below we can see that the Form of Beauty and the Concept of Beauty are two completely different things. In relation to the image, The Fool represents that mid point between Beauty in its Pure Form and our Concept of what Beauty is.
In the Tree of life the Fool is found on the pathway from the Central Pillar Seraph of Kether
(Crown) to the Yin Pillar of Creation's Chokma (Wisdom). This is the creators pathway to the highest will. As Kether is the absolute perfection, the spark before the thought is is completely incomprehensible to the mind and only the fool attempts to make sense of it. You can see this depicted by the other tarot in the chart (Pure Fire Aire Water & Earth) Therefor the Fool sits on the pathway to Wisdom in it's highest form. The Zero representing the interconnectedness of this wisdom in a way that makes it everything and nothing at all. It is a level above division. If we look at the fool as a representative of directions, we will find that it sits on the Above to Below line connecting The Magician (Above) and The High Priestess (Below) further representing its connectivity of the mind and the divine.
